What it does
Everything here is on every plan, for every number you connect.
Two-way chat inside GoHighLevel
Your workflow messages go out on WhatsApp from your own number. When someone writes back, the reply lands in Conversations against their contact, where your team already works.
Every client's WhatsApp on one screen
An agency sees each sub-account's number, whether its phone is connected, and how much it has sent today against its daily cap. When a client needs to scan the code themselves, send them a connect link from their row and they do it on their own phone.
Sample screen, sample businesses. Paced sending and a daily cap
Messages leave at a steady rate through the day, and each number has a daily cap. Anything over the cap is reported back to GoHighLevel as not sent, and the number starts again at midnight UTC.
Held while the phone is offline
If a phone is offline, messages wait for up to 24 hours and go out when it reconnects; anything older is reported back to GoHighLevel as not sent. The dashboard shows how many are waiting.
STOP opt-outs, per sub-account
If someone replies STOP, they get no more messages from that sub-account's WhatsApp numbers until they reply START. Other sub-accounts aren't affected.
Do Not Disturb, kept in step
If you'd like, a STOP also switches on Do Not Disturb for WhatsApp and SMS on that contact in GoHighLevel, so nothing else messages them by the same routes.
Pictures and files
A workflow step that attaches an image or a PDF sends it on WhatsApp as a picture or a file, with the text alongside. Attachments are held while a phone is offline, the same as text.
WhatsApp groupsComing soon
Create a WhatsApp group from your own number, add people from your GoHighLevel contacts, share the invite link and post updates, all from your dashboard. Anyone whose privacy settings block adds gets the invite link by message instead. Replies in a group stay in WhatsApp on the phone; they don't appear in GoHighLevel. Included with every connected number, at no extra charge. We're building it now.
How you set it up
About ten minutes. The setup guide walks through every screen.
Install the app
Add PingWren to your GoHighLevel account from the install link. An agency installs once and picks the sub-accounts; a single business installs on its own sub-account.
Set the Telephony Provider
In the sub-account, open the path below, choose PingWren as the provider and save. This is the step people miss, and until it's done a connected number sends nothing.
Settings → Phone System → Advanced Settings → Telephony ProviderScan the QR code
Open the PingWren page in the left menu, click Connect WhatsApp and scan the code with the phone, the same way you'd link WhatsApp Web. When the status says Connected, you're sending.
Why use PingWren
Nothing to rebuild
Your workflows, triggers and Send SMS steps stay exactly as they are. Change one setting and they go out on WhatsApp, with no template approval to wait for.
Your own number
Customers see the business number they already have saved, not a new one. Neither Meta nor we charge per message, so a busy month costs the same as a quiet one.
Replies stay in GoHighLevel
When someone writes back, it lands in Conversations next to their contact record, where your team already works. Nobody has to watch a phone.
Made for agencies
One dashboard shows every sub-account and its numbers. After your first 10 numbers each one costs less, and you set what your clients pay.
Careful with your number
Paced sending, a daily cap, messages held while a phone is offline and STOP opt-outs are on every number, and none of them can be switched off.
We run reminders ourselves
WhatsApp reminders took the businesses we run them for from about half of booked clients turning up to 85%+. We built this to do the same job inside GoHighLevel.1
That's our own average across the businesses we've run WhatsApp appointment reminders for, and it's from before this product existed. It is not an independent study, and your numbers will vary.
Questions we get
Do I have to rebuild my workflows?
No. Your workflows, templates and conversations stay exactly as they are. Once the Telephony Provider is set, the Send SMS steps you already have deliver on WhatsApp.
Is this the official WhatsApp Business API?
No. PingWren uses WhatsApp's linked-device mechanism, the one WhatsApp Web uses, not the official WhatsApp Business API. You don't get the verified badge or Meta's template approval, Meta doesn't charge you per message, and the phone with the number must stay online. If you need the official API, this is not it.
Can my number get banned?
Yes. WhatsApp can restrict or ban a number it thinks is misusing the service, and automated sending from a linked device is on its list. Pacing, the daily cap and STOP handling lower the risk, but they cannot remove it, and we can't promise a number will never be restricted. Use a dedicated business number rather than your personal one, and only message people who expect to hear from you.
What happens if the phone goes offline?
If a phone is offline, messages wait for up to 24 hours and go out at the usual paced rate once it reconnects; anything older is reported back to GoHighLevel as not sent. The dashboard shows which numbers are disconnected and how many messages are waiting.
What is the daily cap?
Each number can only send so many messages in a day, and they go out at a steady pace rather than in a burst. Once a number hits its cap, the rest of that day's messages are reported back to GoHighLevel as not sent, and the number starts again at midnight (UTC). The cap is there to protect the number, so it isn't something you can switch off.
How does the free trial work?
7-day free trial for up to 3 WhatsApp numbers. Add your card when you start: nothing is charged for 7 days, then your card is charged automatically unless you cancel first. After that it's £9.99 a month for each of your first 10 WhatsApp numbers, then £7.99 for every number after that. Up to 3 numbers per sub-account.
Can I cancel, and what happens if a payment fails?
You can cancel whenever you like from the billing portal, and it takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. If a payment fails, sending carries on while Stripe retries it. If the subscription ends unpaid, sending pauses until you pay.
Is it for agencies or a single business?
Both. A single business activates its one sub-account; an agency activates the sub-accounts it wants to use. Either way you pay for each WhatsApp number you connect, and each sub-account can have up to 3. If you resell it to your own clients, you set your price and can work out what you would keep.
Does it work on a white-labelled GoHighLevel account?
It depends on the agency. Some switch off app installs on white-label accounts. If the install link is blocked, ask your agency to allow PingWren for your sub-account. The setup guide has the wording to send them.
